Update: Even more realistic AI models added. Check our styles page
Did you know that you can get stunning, sharp results of realistic people with AI, using very short prompts with Pirate Diffusion? Example:
/render /style:bokeh <analog> Emma Stone wearing shiny blue leather
In this tutorial we’ll cover a few commands: styles, concepts, size (pro feature) and facelift.
Introduction to Recipes
A recipe is a shortcut – a macro that saves you from having to write long prompts every single time. PirateDiffusion is based on Graydient’s software, which is designed to be used on your mobile phone, so this makes it easy to jam all of your best ideas into something that is very easy to type.
You can make recipes easily on our website to use in every room.
Feel free to customize the name to your liking. You can call it something else like “pretty” or make a focused one that only fixes hands as “fixhands” to make it easier to remember.
Choose the right AI model
The underlying AI model has the greatest influence on your output. It’s important to take a moment to study which model may best be suited for your desired results. PirateDiffusion has over 1TB of preinstalled AI models.
The most realistic AI models for generating real people are URPM, Liberty, Real Vision 2.0, PhotoReal 2, Hassansblend
These AI models are not available in the free tier because they were trained on pornographic images, which we block from the public groups. You will need to upgrade to PRO to access every prompt. You may encounter realistic nudity when working with these four concepts in particular.
Let’s make some nice photos of Emma Stones, shall we? The analog AI model happens to be trained well on her face, so this is going to be a breeze.
/render /recipe:fuji /steps:more a portrait of emma stone wearing shiny blue leather, bokeh background
Her face will look more detailed the higher steps you go, which may introduce some problems like an oily face or more age lines, but the clothes may start to look more realistic as it nails the finer details and textures.
/facelift /photo does not “touch up” the face, keep your freckles!
Following an image up with /facelift will soften the facial features further, which will make the image more impressive, but may result in an overly-touched up look. Use /facelift when you want to reduce imperfections.
Use /facelift /photo when you want to upscale but not touch-up the face. It just scales the pixels. Useful for landscapes and objects!
In the above example, we lost some freckle power and eye detail with facelift. But in the bottom picture, facelift corrects the harsh sunlight for a more pleasant photo. It’s worth experimenting to see which turns out better.
That came out great, but her “AI hands” give the trick away. We can use /inpaint to fix that. That’s a more advanced lesson, so check the Docs tab at the top of our page to learn about inpainting.
Invent a beautiful person that doesn’t exist
Now, let’s say I wanted to create a model that looks kind of like Emma Stone, but not exactly her. Use the /remix command with a negative prompt of another random person and see what happens.
In this case, I asked the AI to definitely not make Harrison Ford, and this what happened. Pretty cool, eh? But my source image’s blurry outfit is starting to get unstable, so this works best with a sharp input photo first.

Limitations
Not all celebrities will be known, and it will vary by model. For example, /recipe:fuji aka: <realvis20> has better images of Scarlett Johansson than hassansblend does, at least in my own testing. Check the list of concepts for more information.
